Hello to all our fishy friends. Its been a while! We've been quite busy recently and haven't been able to share much with you. But do not fear. We're back and we can't wait to catch up with everyone and share our with our fin-tastic followers. Tune in and watch this space! 🐠

Our guppy fries are growing up! We love watching these fish grow and change in our tank. Life is beautiful 🌎

With a new season comes new beginnings - time for some spring cleaning!

Today were are doing a 25% water change, a quarter of our tank's volume. Make sure the water matches the temperature of your tank, and is treated with water treater. Use this opportunity to clean the glass of your tank, and to rinse out your filter.

Regular water changes like this will ensure your tank conditions are optimal for your fishy friends. Remember, cleanliness is next to Godliness! 🙏

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

Feeding is an easy process once you know your fish and the best kinds and food for them. We feed our fish TetraMin flakes, and if they are well behaved we give them bloodworm as a treat!

We welcome another addition to our aquatic pantheon. Say hello to Zeus!

Zeus was the king of the ancient Greek gods, the god of the sky, weather, law and order, destiny and fate. He has now chosen to spend the rest of his day's as a handsome Golden Gourami.

Zeus is now the largest fish in our tank. We hope he sets a good example for everyone else (including us humans!)

Every fish has its day

It is with deep sadness, and a heavy heart, that we have to inform you that our Sailfin Molly, Yin, has died.
🕯️
Yin was the first fish in our tank, and we have countless fond memories of his aquatic antics. His playful attitude made him centre stage in the DunluceAquatic tank, and he made a big impression on everybody (especially the other fish)

Yin will be sorely missed, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Under the sea, under the sea!
Darling it's better, down where it's wetter, Portaferry!

The DunluceAquatic team took a trip to our local aquarium, Exploris Aquarium! They have a wonderful variety of sea life, showcasing local fish as well as exotic specimens! They also have Ireland's only seal sanctuary, where adorable pups are rehabilitated and eventually released back to the wild.
🐬
It is utterly inspirational to see such well kept fish tanks, and happy fish. We hope to create a similar environment within our tank. Fish keeping is not only entertaining, its educational too!

Showtime! Our new guppys are taking center stage

Dance is the timeless interpretation of life. Every dance has its purpose, and every dancer has its destiny. We truly believe this is the case for our 4 new guppys, each with its own flamenco-like flair.

Aquariums are good for the soul! 🙏

Owning and caring for an aquarium brings the calming effects of nature into the home. Once an aquarium is established and decorated with rocks and plants, watching fish swim back and forth is stress and anxiety reducing. The sound of the bubbles and running water add to the therapeutic effect of the tank😊

By learning to care for the tank, you gain insight into caring for yourself
