☀️ IT’S MARKET DAY IN PORTAFERRY! ☀️

We’re back TODAY from 10am–1.30pm in Portaferry Square for another brilliant morning celebrating local! 💛

Come along and browse a fantastic selection of local traders, makers, crafters and producers, pick up something lovely, enjoy the atmosphere and spend your Saturday morning right in the heart of Portaferry.

🎨 FREE kids’ crafts with Portaferry in Bloom
☕🍰 Delicious refreshments served by the wonderful National Autistic Society Ards & North Down volunteers

And, of course, our fabulous traders will be set up around the Square with plenty to browse, buy and enjoy.

Market morning is also the perfect excuse to make a day of it and support our shops, cafés and businesses throughout Portaferry town centre while you’re here.

Market morning is the perfect morning to visit Portaferry! 💛

There’s something particularly special about the town on a Market on the Square morning — the Square is busy, the town centre is bustling, locals are out and about and we’re joined by visitors from near and far enjoying everything Portaferry has to offer.

Our market has always been about more than simply shopping. It’s about celebrating our area, supporting local businesses and giving talented home-based makers, producers and artisan traders a place to showcase what they do.

So while you’re visiting the market this Saturday, take a little extra time to enjoy the town too — have a wander, call into our local shops and cafés, enjoy the atmosphere and experience Portaferry at its very best.

With fantastic traders, free family activities, live music, refreshments and plenty happening throughout the morning, it’s the perfect excuse to make a day of it.

A true Market on the Square favourite is back this Saturday! 🇫🇷🥧🍰

We’re delighted to welcome Franc and Martine from Mange tout back to Portaferry — familiar faces who have been part of our market family right back to 2017, when the market first began.

Franc, a French patisserie baker, runs their deli bakery from Downpatrick, and over the years Mange tout have become firm favourites with so many of our regular visitors.

Expect plenty of their delicious homemade goodies this Saturday — their French tarts are an absolute delicacy, their pies and quiches are always hugely popular, and as for that cakey bread… it is dangerously good! 😍

We’re thrilled to have Franc and Martine joining us again and can’t wait to see that stall laden with all the good stuff.
