Step back to 1507, when Carew Castle hosted the last great medieval jousting tournament in Wales… and now the spectacle returns! 🏰

Experience a thrilling weekend of pageantry, martial skill, medieval combat, traditional crafts, authentic encampments and family fun. Watch Skill at Arms displays, witness the Arming of the Knight, try your hand at archery and immerse yourself in the medieval world.

Then comes the main event… THE JOUST! 🐎

If you aren’t rushing about doing history stuff then why not head to Northamptonshire and elevate ( or start!) your historic riding skills at the excellent Historic Equitation! Highly knowledgeable and good fun!

The Festival team is delighted to share the poster for this year's Barnet Medieval Festival on 6th and 7th June. We are deeply grateful to Turner - Artist for the wonderful artwork which depicts Lord Hastings, a key commander of the Yorkist forces and long-term support of Edward IV.
