Back to Hebden Bridge again for a while. When you paint in oils, it's good to have two or three paintings on the go, because you often have to wait a few days for the previous layer to dry.
I've repositioned the canal at the far end and started tentatively on the nearest windows.

Most of you know that I have a tendency to look at older paintings and think, "I could do better!" I am putting Montgomeryshire skyline back on the easel. First painted in 2010 in acrylics, it's an obvious choice for an oil overpainting. 😀
The rather poor photo from my screen shows the sunset I am aiming for. It's early stages, but I'll keep you posted!

What a lovely day on Saturday, welcoming people to see my paintings at our house. There were lots of positive comments. It was so encouraging that K and G decided to buy the original painting of Summer foxgloves. K has sent me a photo of it in its new home! Thank you. It looks great!

I hope you are free this Saturday, 11th July, as I am having an Artist's Open Studio at our house from 10am to 4pm. A wide selection of paintings and prints are available to see and buy. There will be a warm welcome, tea and cake.
The house is Bodlondeb, Back Lane, Newtown SY16 2NH. It's a black and white house with bay windows.
