New work alert! This 400x400 mm piece on canvas has been inspired by ancient Mayan head drawings. I used individual strands of wool, polished stones, rhinestones glass, and a repurposed vintage earring. I also incorporated crystal glass mosaic stones to emulate the opulence of ancient jewellery. I love how the light catches them!
I’m still looking for the perfect title and I’d love your help. What do you see when you look at this, and what name would you give it? Drop your suggestions below!

I’m so excited to share my latest original piece!
It’s a 400x400 mm canvas inspired by the powerful imagery of Mayan culture. To crate this modern take on a traditional head drawing, I used individual strands of wool, polished stones, rhinestones glass. I also used crystal glass mosaic stones to emulate the intricate jewellery of the ancient Maya, along with a repurposed vintage earring for extra character.
I haven’t settled on an official name yet, so I’m turning it over to you! What does this piece say to you, and what title do you think would be appropriate for it? I can’t wait to read your ideas and see how you interpret the work!
