WHAT WE DO:
Dance associate promote, maintain and improve performing and creative arts education particularly through the production of workshops, performances and the encouragement of the arts, including contemporary dance, drama, mime, singing and music alongside the development, preparation and establishment of projects;

To foster, present, organise, manage and produce accessible high-quality

work of cultural and educational value to the public in the knowledge, understanding and practice of arts in all their aspects and the training of public through the management of production of the events for public performance and the showcasing of performing and creative arts;

Advance and raise the profile of underdeveloped art forms through the promotion of artistic collaborations and fostering partnerships with similar organisations; Provide for the area of benefit;

Encourage and stimulate the artistic creativity and awareness of people in the area of the benefit by the provision of training, educational resources and support/opportunities for artistic expression;

Promote and develop educational and recreational opportunities and resources for the benefit of children, young people and adults in the area of benefit and give equality of opportunity to those who have otherwise been marginalised from the mainstream arts provision;

Provide appropriate quality programmes to ensure the involvement of all ages; children, young people and adults;

Identify and create opportunities for exchange of skills, resources and information;

Undertake any other activities and projects which may be deemed appropriate;

Dance Associate Ltd is not prescriptive in the art form used by and for people for artistic expression;

Encourage appreciation for and participation in arts by the provision of educational performing and creative arts projects, information and training, classes, workshops, arts facilities and equipment, support and instruction and the organisation of showcases of works and events.

Our annual showcase is a celebration of all our dancers’ hard work, progress and passion throughout the year. From our youngest performers to our senior dancers, everyone takes the stage 💃

We are excited to invite all our Dance Associate families, friends and supporters to a fun Quiz Night 🎉

📍 The Bank Bar, Newry

This event is part of our fundraising towards the Dance World Cup in Dublin (8–18 July 2026).

Your support will help our young dancers represent Northern Ireland and cover essential costs such as costumes, travel and participation.

St. Patrick’s Day in Newry 💚

So proud to be part of such a vibrant, welcoming community.

Our dancers brought energy, smiles, and so much spirit to the parade.

What a day for our dancers: confidence, teamwork, and pure joy on the streets of our city.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do, creating opportunities for young people to perform, connect, and feel part of something bigger.

Thank you to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for invitation, Beat Carnival for workshops, costumes and support, and to everyone who cheered us on along the way ☘️

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers in our Dance Associate community.

Today we celebrate the incredible mothers who make so much possible for their children. The early mornings, the rushing after school, the packed dance bags, the lifts to rehearsals and classes. The waiting in the car, the quick snacks between activities, the encouragement before stepping into the studio.

You are the quiet heroes behind every young dancer’s journey.

So many of you become taxi drivers, costume helpers, hair stylists, cheerleaders and the strongest supporters your children could ever have. Your dedication, patience and love are a huge part of what allows our dancers to grow in confidence, discipline and joy through dance.

From all of us at Dance Associate, thank you for the energy, care and belief you give to your children every single day.

We are very grateful to have such wonderful families as part of our community.

Today we celebrate the women and girls who fill our studios with energy, determination and joy.

From our young dancers discovering their confidence, to our inspiring teachers who guide them, and the incredible mums and grandmothers who support every rehearsal, performance and competition day.

Dance Associate is proud to be a space where girls grow in confidence, women lead with passion, and families come together through dance.

Dance Associate is excited to take part in the Newry St Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday, 17 March, and we would love more children and families to join us.

To prepare for the parade, we are hosting two FREE workshops where participants will create parade props and learn a fun dance routine.
