🏳️‍🌈 New Group Work Opportunity 🏳️‍🌈

NI Youth Forum is launching a youth-led event planning group for Newry Pride 2026, funded by the NI Housing Executive Homeless Prevention Fund.

Together we will plan an event that will:
🏠 Explore housing rights
🗣 Amplify LGBTQ+ youth voices on homelessness
🫂 Discuss safe & sustainable housing
🌈 Shape ideas around homeless prevention & early intervention.

If you’re aged 16–25 and from Newry, Mourne & Down, we’d love to hear from you. Contact Rebekah for more info.

It’s early days and a lot is yet to be worked out. The parade and big square concert will depend on funding and a strong 2026 Pride Volunteer team stepping up to pull everything together. But! No matter what happens there will be a PARTY 🥳 , likely two, maybe three! So stay tuned. If you want to get involved, or if you can help in any way please get in touch and let us know. Well we’re just getting caught up with ourselves now and need a long stretch to recover but just wanted to say a quick but also HUGE thank you!! THANK YOU! To everyone who supported Newry Pride 2025. Our sponsors, our parade participants, all the gorgeous artists and performers and crew and everybody who came out despite the torrential rain. Everyone who showed up in any way for Newry Pride, we appreciate it!
And the biggest thank you to our working group, who do the hard graft to make it all happen, as well as the wider LGBTQ+ women’s group and all the volunteers who chip in. Many hands make light work. We are a small fully voluntary team squeezing everything in around full-time jobs and family lives. So many volunteer hours go in to putting on Pride and we couldn’t do it without the kindness of our team and friends and families who help us out. Yous are all legends and we’ll get a great big night out to celebrate your hard work very soon.

A quick flag guide here for people since we’ve heard some absolutely ludicrous nonsense being spread about what the flags mean. Our flags were all the standard rainbow & progress flags, with a few bisexual, pansexual, trans, non-binary and le***an flags.
