'Iggy'

Recently completed pet portrait.

This was an interesting one to do. Always a challenge when it comes to drawing dark fur. Trying to capture highlights and the sheen of the coat without making it too stylised or losing the realism, but giving it enough contrast to make elements stand out - but I gave it a go!

Finally decided to share this piece that was finished last week after a few months of slow process... the one and only, and one of my favourite musicians, Freddie Mercury

32 years ago, yesterday we lost this music legend, I thought now was a fitting time to share this drawing.
