Max Wrottesley will be joining us at Exeter on the Saturday only.
Max Wrottesley is an English actor whose
versatility has stretched across screens both big
and small. With a career spanning decades, Max
has captivated audiences with his compelling
portrayals, from the enigmatic Michael in Open
Grave and the charming Phil in Love Me Do, to his
latest standout role as Ser Lorent Marbrand in
HBOs epic House of the Dragon.
His acting journey began in 1996 with his role
as Vince in The Biz, a performance that spanned
across two seasons. Since then, he& #39;s built an
impressive repertoire, gracing series such as
Casualty, Holby City, 24: Live Another Day, Silent
Witness, and Banged Up Abroad.
On the silver screen, his talents shine in a range of films including Martin
Scorsese’s Hugo, The Cosmonaut, Diana, and Guardians of the Galaxy. His role in
Love Me Do earned him the prestigious 2016 IIFC Award for Best Supporting
Actor, underscoring his remarkable ability to bring depth to every character he
embodies.
In 2022, Max Wrottesley ventured into exciting new territory with his role in
HBO’s House of the Dragon, where he brought to life Ser Lorent Marbrand, a key
figure in Rhaenyra Targaryen’s Queensguard. Though he made his debut late in
the first season, Wrottesley’s character proved to be both pivotal and prominent,
playing a recurring role that significantly shaped the drama and intrigue of the
show's second season.
Most recently, Wrottesley can be seen as Captain Andrew Fleming in Starz hit
Outlander: Blood of my Blood.
