A throwback to our July concert!

On a scorching hot day, a team of members turned up early to set up the theatre with chairs, music stands, banners and a lot of percussion, ready for the afternoon rehearsal!

The Isle of Wight Youth Symphony Orchestra restarts on Wednesday 16 September at 6pm at Lift Ryde.

If you know a young person who has played an instrument for at least six months, this is a great introduction to orchestral and ensemble playing, in a friendly environment.

The orchestra have lots of exciting things planned for the next few months! 🙂

As we near the start of our new season, we thought it would be nice to look back over the past season.

Here are some photographs from our November 2025 concert, which featured David Campbell performing the Clarinet Concerto by Carl Davis.

Alongside this, the orchestra performed Petite Concert Suite by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Elgar's Symphony No. 1.
