St Woolos Sinfonia, previously known as St Woolos Players, originated from a group of instrumentalists around the musical circle of Newport Cathedral, Gwent in South Wales and now draws on fine musicians from throughout Wales and beyond!

🌸🎶🌸 We had fun discovering the varied moods and colours of Vaughan Williams' lovely tuba concerto this evening, along with Patrick, our soloist (who introduces himself in the video) 🌸

🌸🎶🌸 We'll perform the tuba concerto this Saturday 18 April at 7pm in the cathedral - come and join us! Purcell's Faery Queen and Beethoven's fabulous 7th Symphony complete our programme 🎶

🎻🎶🎻 Lovely string rehearsal this evening with our wonderful guest conductor Oi Ching Chan 🎻🎶🎻 She's based in London now, but knows South Wales well having studied and taught at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama some years ago 🎻🎶🎻 Do join us on Saturday 18th April at 7pm in the cathedral for a fabulous concert of Purcell, Vaughan Williams and Beethoven 🎻🎶🎻
