Next month, we welcome to the gallery.

Join us July 29th from 6pm as we open with ‘Witnessing Wales’ by Mohamed Hassan.

This ongoing project explores themes of identity, belonging, and place in Wales. Through portraits and landscapes, Hassan examines how personal and collective histories become embedded within the land and the communities that inhabit it.

As someone who arrived in Wales from elsewhere, Hassan is interested in the relationship between home, memory, and cultural connection. Combining documentary observation with a personal approach, the work reflects on the diverse experiences that shape contemporary Wales and the ways people find a sense of belonging within its landscape.

Mo will also be running a workshop here while he’s in town so keep an eye out for more details on that in the coming weeks.

Patterns by David Hurn was due to end today.

But nope, we’re keeping it up for another few weeks.

We’ve had great footfall, and it looks lovely up on the walls so we’re sticking with it.

Still can’t believe this lot travelled up from Falmouth for the opening of Patterns.

Well, I mean, I can.. the exhibition is great, and to meet and have a chat with the man himself is a big bonus.

But Falmouth to Newport and back to Falmouth in a day is a commitment.

We have a three week exhibition slot available starting June 19th..

We’re looking for a photographic body of work or ongoing project to fill it.

This sits between two brilliant shows in David Hurn and Mohamed Hassan, so it’s a genuinely great spot to be in.

Short notice, we know. Work must be print ready. There is a fee involved.

We’re also open to a group exhibition. It doesn’t have to be solo.
