The summer holidays have come to an end and a brand new school year is about to beginโ€ฆ so why not make this the year your little one takes their very first steps into the world of dance?๐Ÿฉต

At JLDA, we believe that starting dance is about so much more than learning steps. Itโ€™s about building confidence, making friends, expressing themselves, having fun and discovering something they absolutely love โœจ

Whether your little one has been dancing around the living room since they could walk, loves performing for anyone who will watch, or has never stepped into a dance class before, thereโ€™s a place for them here!

Our classes are designed to help children feel comfortable, confident and excited to learn, with plenty of encouragement along the way and as we head into the new term, we currently have spaces available for little ones across Newport & Cardiff!

Thereโ€™s something so special about watching children walk through our doors and slowly realise they can be completely themselves here.

Itโ€™s such an honour to create a space where our dancers feel safe, comfortable and completely at home, where they know they can be authentically them without judgement.

Because yes, we teach dance and performing artsโ€ฆ but we also want them to leave our classes feeling a little more confident, a little more capable and a whole lot more themselves, and if that means we get the occasional crazy dance, dramatic entrance or completely unhinged moment along the wayโ€ฆ

Do you love dance, drama, and working with children? Weโ€™re on the lookout for confident, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to support our teachers in delivering fun, safe, and welcoming classes.

Your duties will include:
- Supporting the teacher by assisting with activities, demonstrations, and transitions

- Helping children stay engaged, focused, and encouraged throughout the session

- Offering reassurance and support to children who may feel nervous or upset.

- Helping children with basic needs such as lining up, toilet trips, water breaks, and changing shoes.

๐Ÿ“Œ Applicants must be 15+ and available to start as soon as possible. Position is for a Tuesday and/or Friday after school in Newport.

What a summer itโ€™s been so far! From dancing, creating and learning new skills to making memories, building confidence and spending time with friends, weโ€™ve loved every minute. โœจ

Our Summer workshops have been full of laughter, creativity, friendship and dancing til drop! Weโ€™re so proud of everything our dancers have achieved already! ๐Ÿฉต
