Christchurch Music Society

Christchurch Music Society Christchurch Music Society is a post-sixteen group based in Newport, South Wales. During productions additional rehearsals are held on Friday nights.

Founded in 1972, we stage an annual musical at the Congress Theatre, Cwmbran, plus pantomimes, plays & charity performances at Christchurch Hall, Newport. Christchurch Music Society (CMS) is a musical (and social) society based in the Christchurch area of Newport. The society is open to everyone and we welcome new members from performers to stage crew. We rehearse and meet on Wednesday nights, 7.30pm - 9.30pm at Christchurch Church hall .

At the beginning of every show, Christchurch Music Society chooses a charity to support as a way of giving back to our community and supporting causes that mean so much to others.

This year, we’re delighted to be supporting Prostate Cymru.

Prostate Cymru is Wales’ leading prostate health charity, working to raise awareness, support better treatment and fund vital research for men across Wales. With prostate cancer affecting 1 in 8 men in Wales, their work is incredibly important, and we’re proud to play our small part in supporting it. 💙

We hope together we can make a meaningful contribution to this fantastic cause. 🎶💙
