QUAY FOLK CLUB

QUAY FOLK CLUB Quay Folk Club is a monthly folk and roots music club that meets at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport on the third Sunday of the month.

Entry is free with donations collected to fund occasional guest nights. Each month features 2 showcase performances together with a floor singers slot of pre-booked performers (2or 3 songs each). Showcase slots are aimed at more experienced performers. If you'd like to do either a showcase or floor singers spot get in touch. ENTRY IS FREE but donations are asked for each month.

CHANGE OF DATE FOR JUNE
Hi folks : just to let you all know the June Folk Club will be on Sunday June 28th and not on our usual third Sunday of the month which would be the 21st. This is to avoid a clash with the Isle of Wight Festival when many of us stay away from Newport because of the traffic diversions. We'll be sending out details of who is performing on the 28th in a few days.

It's TONIGHT (Sunday April 19th) the Quay Folk Club starting at 7pm at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport. And it will be an extra special evening with Devon-based singer Jim Causley appearing as our guest along with a support spot from our old friends Abacus. Described as "one of England's finest folk singers" Jim has won many awards and plaudits including being nominated as Singer of the Year in the 2017 Radio 2 Folk Awards. This will be a great evening.

Only 1 week to go to the next Quay Folk Club at 7pm on Sunday April 19th at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport.
