"By spending time in nature, I feel connected to something beyond myself. It soothes my soul.
Through my paintings I aim to bring this experience of the outdoors inside, visualising contexts beyond what the eye can see.
The core of my recent body of work revolves around themes of spirituality, darkness and solitude, embodied through a kind of “altar-making” in the form of oil paintings. I draw inspiration from mysticism, folklore and observing nature."
