Reasonable rates for a fabulous space in the heart of Newnham. Great footfall due to the excellent cafe and numerous events and community events held here.

********ARTIST IN RESIDENCE!!!*****

So it's official. I am now the artist in residence at the The George Community Hub in Newnham on severn.
An excellent community hub in the heart of the village.
I feel very lucky to be able to paint here and despite the wobbly start I am now pleased with the progress.

The hub has so much going for it, a light filled gallery space available for exhibitions, meetings and talks, a second hand shop and a community run cafe with excellent coffee, brunch and lunch options. Oh and homemade cakes!

It really is an absolute jewel in the crown of newnham.

Why don't you pop in to experience it.

Another little painting i managed to do at the The George Community Hub before illness stopped play.

This is the lake district.

Acrylic on canvas and available to view (and buy) at the george in newnham on severn.

I am hoping that I will back to full fitness next week and be able to start my residency in earnest.

You can however still view my latest work there in the upstairs studio even when I am not there.

Its a fab space, light filled with high ceilings- a perfect backdrop for showing artwork and to be able to paint in.

And there is a great cafe downstairs where you can find all sorts of tasty treats- homemade cakes, excellent coffee and delicious light bites.

So a mixed first week of my residency at the The George Community Hub. ..

After a fabulous start- changing the exhibits, setting up my studio and even managing to have 2 successful painting days (see above for one example of paintings accomplished) things stalled somewhat.

My fabulous France holiday culminated in me and my husband picking up horrible viruses and my having to take my husband to the hospital late Thursday night. Not fun.
So that is the reason I have been MIA for the last few days.
He is a little better today so I am hoping to be back in action next week. 🤞

Hopefully i will see you there!

So thats a wrap... or is it? The official .artists art trail has come to an end.

I want to extend my thanks to the entire faropen team who do such a great job in facilitating this. I'm sure it can't be easy. And another thanks to all of the fab team at the george for hosting us.

However for those of you who couldn't make the trail or couldn't face the heat last week you still have time to view my and ellie's work at the george. Yes we have a mini stay of ex*****on and although we won't be there all the time you can still see our work hanging in the business hub and gallery upstairs.

It's the final weekend of the .artists art trail in the forest of dean and wye valley. As you know I am exhibiting in the with .

I know it is hot 🥵🥵🥵, I know you would rather be sat in a pool with a large g&t (as would i 🤣🤣) but all of the artists on the trail would really appreciate it if you managed to visit🙏🙏🙏

The george has a great cafe for food and more importantly **COLD** drinks 🧋🥤🧊, we have fans 💨🌬and there are 2 other venues in close proximity. There is the a stone's throw away, ready and waiting with iced water, and also .

I will be at the gallery from 8.30am if you wanted to beat the worst of the heat!
