Structure, care and small group sizes make Jon Doran's oil painting courses invaluable.

By teaching the core techniques and exercises to the group as a whole, Jon is able to spend more time working with each individual on a one-to-one basis, tailoring his tuition to their specific needs.

We had a really lovely chat with artist who is half-way through our Mentoring Programme, AGORA. We asked about her experience, and what she feels she has gained from the programme so far.

Susie has gained self-assurance, and learned more about how to approach communities and put herself out there as a fine artist.

Applications now open:

Artist, Martin Baister, shares his experience of our Professional Landscape Programme so far. For him, it's been about building confidence and absorbing as much information as possible from our lead tutors Anita Reynolds, Anthony Garratt and Jesse Leroy Smith, and many visiting artists.

Hearing from other artists and engaging in regular group discussions helps broaden perspective and build ambition. As our Professional Landscape students work towards their end of year exhibition, we see how much they continue to grow independently.

We are accepting applications for Professional Landscape 2026/27, starting in November 2026. The deadline for bursary applications is 08 June. Apply now ๐Ÿ”—
