📔 🚀 We are pleased to announce our duo exhibition ‘Faux Pas’ with opens this month in Victoria, London. The PV is on Tuesday 24th June so please send us a DM if you would like to attend.

Julian Wild and Alison Hand present ‘Faux Pas’ with HS Projects at Howick Place. Over the last 6 months the artist duo have been reflecting on and riffing off one another’s practice. Colours, architectural forms and chaotic assemblages have emerged to create a playful but also an arresting representation of the unstable times that we live in. Wild is a sculptor and has created works that expressively respond to found objects such as girders and mangles. Hard metal forms are squashed and bent and pressed by these objects in slapstick events. Hand paints large scale canvasses that contain multiple vignettes and painterly tropes. Broad, seemingly abstract stokes turn into hazard tape and neon whilst piles of tyres and barbed wire meld into romantic vistas. All leaving the viewer uncertain of what is true or faux.
