There is a position vacant at Tom Roberts Adventure Centre (TRAC) for someone to join the housekeeping staff. This is a post that attracts a wage in line with the Government suggested National Living Wage and so pays £9.50 per hour currently. This is a zero-hours contact but attracts pro rata allowances in accordance with government guidelines. The start date is immediate.
TRAC is a residential Adventure Centre that is run with a Christian Ethos. There are 41 beds in 9 rooms and currently 1 lodge (4 more being added this year). In addition, there are kitchen and dining facilities, a conference centre, a games room, and a toilet block that is used by our campers and day visitors. These are the main areas that will require cleaning. The usual workday is 0900-1500 every Thursday, occasionally Wednesday by arrangement. The TRAC customer will have already cleaned and cleared up after themselves, but the job involves a complete deep clean of the premises as required after one of our customers leaves.
The applicant must be willing to vary the hours when necessary to allow for days when customers leave mid-week on days other than Thursday and occasionally will be required to work Saturday or Sunday. Additional hours may be available ad hoq and by arrangement. Housekeeping staff with children may occasionally bring their wards with them when work is required at holidays and weekends.
