As The Hoppings 2026 comes to a close, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who played a part in making this year’s event such a success.
Despite operating within a smaller footprint due to the ongoing improvement works on the Town Moor, we made it work and the response has been absolutely fantastic. We set out to ensure visitors still enjoyed the full Hoppings experience, and thanks to the incredible efforts of so many people, that’s exactly what happened.
It has been brilliant to see the reaction to Elevate85. Thousands of people took to the skies to enjoy spectacular views across Newcastle, and it quickly became one of the standout attractions of this year’s event.
The support throughout the event has also been incredible online, with The Hoppings reaching more than 7 million views across our social media channels over the 10 days. It has been amazing to see so many of you sharing your photos, videos and memories with us.
Our sincere thanks go to the showmen and showwomen who are the heart of The Hoppings, along with our fantastic food vendors, security teams, paramedics, police, contractors, entertainers and every member of the behind-the-scenes team. Your hard work, dedication and commitment are what make The Hoppings possible, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
We would also like to extend our thanks to The Freemen of Newcastle and Newcastle City Council for their continued support throughout the planning and delivery of the event.
Finally, thank you to everyone who came along over the 10 days. Seeing families and friends enjoying the rides, making memories and enjoying the atmosphere was fantastic. Your support is what keeps The Hoppings thriving year after year.
We’re already looking forward to doing it all again in 2027.
