We are delighted to announce our winter musical: Parade.

With music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, this rarely-performed heartbreaking tale is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Based on the true story, Parade transports us to 1920s Atlanta, Memorial Day. After a tragedy occurs in Leo Frank’s factory, he is quickly assumed to be the perpetrator leading to one of the worst miscarriages of justice in human history.

Opportunities to see this incredible piece are seldom, and we at Second Act are delighted to be producing Parade 2 - 5th December 2026.

All are welcome to our preaudition workshop on the 5th of July 19:00 at the Jubilee Theatre in Gosforth, where you will have the opportunity to learn audition extracts and hear more about the audition and rehearsal processes.

This is primarily an adult cast, with select roles for youth aged 13+. The show will be cast by panel auditions, taking place on Saturday the 11th of July.

Due to the upcoming forecast for snow next week, the creative team for A Midsummer Night’s Dream have made the decision to postpone the audition workshop to Sunday the 25th of January, 14:00-17:00 ⏰🗓️
