Festal Eucharist at 10 AM
Festal Choral Evensong at the earlier time of 3PM

For an extra Easter treat preceding tomorrow afternoon’s service, please join us at 2:30 PM for a special programme of organ music played by all three of the Cathedral’s exceptional organists! We are very lucky to have these talented musicians at Newcastle Cathedral, and this showcase is not to be missed.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of broadcasting live Choral Evensong on BBC Radio 3!

For Spy Wednesday of Holy Week, our service featured poignant works by Gesualdo, Lotti, Ešenvalds, Dvořák and Tomkins, and finished with a stunning Dupré organ voluntary played by Assistant Director of Music Kris Thomsett.

Congratulations to Director of Music Ian Roberts and the Cathedral Choir on a wonderful broadcast!

Last week we were delighted to invite 800 children from our 13 Singing Programme partner schools to Newcastle Cathedral for two enormous Singing Celebrations! Perhaps some of our future Choristers are among them?

You can hear our current Choristers and Cathedral Choir singing the services at Newcastle Cathedral this Holy Week, and broadcasting Choral Evensong on BBC Radio 3 at 3PM.
