Disability History: Past, Present, Future.
We are staging "Spoonface Steinberg" production. & we need an Autistic writer to respond to it.
This isn't just a production though, we see it as an opportunity to reclaim the narrative. Spoonface Steinberg was written for the mainstream in 1997, this play is now a springboard for an Autistic voice to explore what has shifted in that time, and what stubbornly remains.
We're after a raw, 10 minute Response Piece, performed by a neurodivergent actor, that centres self-expression over a "polished" finish.
The package includes:
- £525 prize
- Mentoring from Bex Bowsher
- A platform as part of Disability History Month
