Audition callout 📣 Newcastle-based Ballet Lorent are seeking 2 dancers to join the company on placement in 2024/25.

Successful auditionees will undertake a 10-month professional placement with the company while working towards an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance from NSCD.

Former balletLORENT placement dancer James Mounsey said:

"My time with the company really helped my development as a professional dancer. My year with them was filled with different experiences and I was able to understand what it's like to be a working member in a company, whilst still being in a safe learning environment. I got to experience being on tour, being in R&D for new works, and delivering outreach workshops, which has all provided me with useful knowledge going forward in my career."

Act fast - the deadline to apply is Wednesday 13 March.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to audition at the company base in Newcastle on Wednesday 20 March.

CALLOUT!

We're looking for 5 actors to take part in 2 short educational films.

We're looking for actors:
- Aged 16 or over but with playing ages between 13 and 17
- Who live or have a base within 25 miles of Newcastle upon Tyne

The deadline is Thu 24 Aug, 12 noon, with casting taking place on Thu 31 Aug at Northern Stage.

Total fee £525 for three days work (1 x rehearsal day, 2 x filming days).
