We were thinking, how do we create a snapshot of the youth arts culture in the North East of England and bring all those people with a creative talent together? We chose collaboration because in collaboration, everyone is equal and all contributions are welcome. Collabora8 is an online space on which people from all over the North East can upload artistic images, text, audio and video they have pr
oduced. The art works uploaded can be any kind of art. The list of art forms is endless, singers, MC's, DJ's, Street Dancers, Ballet Dancers, Painters, Pianists, Graffiti Artists, Magicians...
It is a very simple process.
1. You register your details on the Get Involved page.
2. You upload your content online; this could be a poem, a dance or a song that you have performed.
3. You find other people's art works and create collaborations or contact us to collaborate with others more closely. All collaborations are online and we ask that people do not meet up to arrange collaborations without contacting us. There will be regular events held to help facilitate collaborations so be sure to follow our blog. Our events will feature collaborations that YOU have created for the website and you may even be asked to perform – So lets get collaborating! Who can get involved? We welcome anyone with an artistic skill, singers, DJ’s, dancers, artists, actors and solo performers. You might play the bagpipes or the clarinet, maybe you dance better than Justin Timberlake. We want people who know they are good at what they do and love to perform. You don't need to be a professional you just need to be ready to share your creativity! Once you have created your profile and uploaded you content you can change your image and videos at any time if you don't feel happy with it once the site comes out of public beta.
