Tuneless Choir - Newcastle Love to sing along to the radio? Been told you can't sing? Then we are the choir for you 🎶

Whether you can't sing, or lack the confidence to sing in a group, a Tuneless Choir is for you to experience the physical, emotional and social benefits of communal singing. We have been singing online since March 2020 singing a wide variety of familiar songs from the likes of ABBA, Queen, and Beatles. We had a great Tuneless Choir Newcastle session last evening. Plenty of wonky notes, lots of swaying and clapping of hands, and yes, lots of cake!

We are always happy to have songs and themes suggested by our choir members and we always try our best to get them all in! We'll try most songs at least once! So come along - there will definitely be laughter and wonky notes!

If you love to sing and have been looking for a place to belt out those tunes without anyone telling you to "be quiet" or "mime", come along on Tuesday 16th June.
There are no auditions, no parts, no termly fees - you pay when you come along to a session.

We sing the words on the big screen, give ourselves a round of applause and move on to the next song.
We laugh almost as much as we sing!
If you haven't been for a while you are very welcome to come along, no catching up to do as it's different songs each session.

We sing at Gosforth Parish Church Hall, 6.45pm for a 7pm start. We finish singing at 8.30pm.
We're opposite South Gosforth Metro and there is plenty of parking at the hall.
First visit is £10 which includes registration and refreshments - please bring a mug if you are able to. Then it's £9 a session, card or cash payments. No need to book, just turn up.

We've called it 'Deck Of Cards'.

We meet at Gosforth Parish Church Hall, opposite South Gosforth Metro. There is plenty of parking at the hall.
We meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month.
Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. We finish at 8.30pm.
The price for the first night is £10, card or cash, which includes registration and refreshments. Then it is £9 a session. You only pay for the sessions you come to, there is no termly fee. Please bring a mug for your drink if you are able.

If you've been told in the past that you can't sing, you can't hold a note or have been asked not to sing our choir is for you! There are no auditions, no judgement, no need to be able to read music. We just 'sing like no one is listening'.
There is no need to book, just come along on Tuesday 19th May 🎶

So incredibly proud that 34 of our amazing Tuneless Choir - Newcastle took part in The Choir Of Man at Sunderland Empire. We learnt the part, practiced and sung as only we know how, along with three other local choirs. What a fabulous experience. We can say we've been a part of an incredible West End Show, and....... we got a standing ovation! Well done to you all 🎶

What will you be doing in two weeks time, Tuesday 12th May? 🤔

We'll be heading to 'The Jungle' with some of our amazing choir. No, not in South Africa, and we're not expecting to see Ant and Dec, although you never know!
Our Jungle is the pub in the fabulous musical The Choir of Man.
We are so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing performance at the Sunderland Empire, and have been practicing for this special occasion!

Good morning all.

A huge THANK YOU to you all for a fabulous 3rd birthday session on Tuesday.
The singing was amazing and, as usual, your enthusiasm was next level! The 'management's' song choices seemed to go down well!

A special thank you to Jaci and Veronica for the delicious cakes that went down very nicely!

Thank you for the cards and presents, you do spoil us and we appreciate it.

And a huge thank you to you all for your continuous support and encouragement. We laugh together, there have been tears, and friendships have been made. But mostly we enjoy singing our wonky notes together!
