Newcastle University Theatre Society (NUTS) is one of the largest and most successful student theatre societies in the country. We put on twelve main productions a year, followed by a student drama festival showcasing original new writing from our members and take a piece of new writing to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival each year. NUTS welcomes everyone; directors, producers, actors, costume and se

t designers, make-up artists, backstage, lighting, tech and stage crew - so, whether you've had years of experience or simply want to try theatre for the first time, come along to one of our events and see how you can get involved! Here are some of our best bits from first semester🥳🫶🏼 This year has been nuts 🤩With four shell-shocking plays to socials like I’m a Nut Get Me Out of Here, we’ve had a cracking time!

But hold onto your hats because believe it or nut, we promise 2025 walnut disappoint 😏! With more fabulous plays, Dramafest, and Edinburgh Fringe! Get your EpiPens at the ready because nut-thing can stop us now! 😎🥜🎊

NEXT NUTS SOCIAL: IM A NUT GET ME OUT OF HERE 🪱🐞🐜

WHEN: THURSDAY THE 21ST OF NOVEMBER (starting address will be on the Facebook and there will be fines if you are late!)

🐯You will be split into teams - these teams are your Nuts family! (if you are not currently in a family we will assign you to one)

🦋Dress code: Your best I’m a Celeb Campmate outfits (shorts/jeans and shirt) Parents/comittee in I’m a Celeb shirts (see gc)

🐛ROUTE: Georgia’s house -> Spy -> Osbournes -> Blanc -> TROPICANA

🪲BYOB: alongside this please bring a can of cider/beer (for those not drinking a can of something fizzy)

🐼As a family, you will take part is BUSHTUCKER trials in order to win points for your team, starting at one of the social secretary’s houses

🐵 Challenges to collect more points at pubs on Osbourne Road before we head into town (tbc on Facebook)

🦎WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AFTER THE SOCIAL AND RECEIVE A PRIZE
