A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR LATEST SUPPORTER
Arts Council England is now on board and we're one step closer to seeing Ouseburn Bandstand come to life!
Although we didn't manage to meet our target and have the Bandstand ready for all to enjoy by the summer of 2018, we look forward to spending the coming months organising a FANTASTIC programme of events and securing the last leg of funding to see this corner of the valley come to life in 2019!
Thanks again to everyone who has supported us so far.

"The point for all of them (temporary interventions), is for architecture to dissolve into our popular culture as quickly as possible, leaving behind changed perceptions of place, a new sense of community, and a sense that you can make a place your own, together, if even for a moment."
- Aaron Betsky
Over the last year and a half, a collaboration of Architects, Designers, Trustees of Ouseburn and Architecture Students from both Universities have worked together to bring life, art, music and more to a beautiful but totally neglected piece of green space in the Ouseburn Valley.
The Culvert Bandstand began as a student led competition among architecture students who we determined realise the winning design. To follow the story for the competition you can head over to the competition page C O N S T R U C T.
There was huge amount of support from local businesses and artists and residents to get the bandstand up and running and bring life into this piece of public green space.
Multiple private sponsors, community funds and Arts Council England funding was pulled together, along with £2000 worth of crowd funding.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far.
The bandstand is set to be launching in May of this year with a program of events being lined up across the summer.
