Still Raving in Your 40s? Thursday 19th March at Wigan Pier

Should middle age stop you from being a raving reprobate?

Join performance poet, rapper and storyteller Donald Jenkins for a funny, lyrical and brutally honest journey through the sweaty underbelly of British rave culture. From illegal all-nighters and squats to never-ending afterparties, Jenkins dives headfirst into the highs, chaos and nostalgia of more than 30 years on the dancefloor.

Blending spoken word, comedy, music and dramatic monologue, this high-energy show asks the big question:

What happens when the rave never really stops… but you get older?

Expect big laughs, real talk and a euphoric trip through one of the most iconic movements of the UK underground.

“Serious matter smothered with laugh out loud comedy. An emotional and euphoric journey.” – Newcastle Fringe Festival Review

Support on the night from the super, Louise Fazackerley.

Donald Jenkins has performed across the UK including Glastonbury Festival and The Royal Albert Hall, and runs the spoken word platform Born Lippy.
