Following our last production The Bench, which was supported by Show Racism the Red Card, playwright Jeff Brown has created this documentary on BBC iPlayer about Roly Gregoire, Sunderland’s first black player. It’s salutary, it’s important and it’s surprisingly tender. We recommend a watch.

Very happy to be working with Alphabetti Theatre, The Lit & Phil and the unstoppable Cinzia Hardy on this years ClassicsFest with the theme of food and feasting. This lovely new play by Abby Walker won our playwriting competition- it’s shot and sweet and brought delightfully to life by Elijah and Judi with direction by Ed Cole.
