Headline Artist Jo Sharpe is a painter based in South London, originally from Norfolk. Working primarily in oils, she creates still lifes inspired by the British countryside, developing compositions over several years to explore colour, texture, pattern and form.

Meet the Maker | Kathryn Williams

This Early Summer, multi-award winning and Mercury Prize nominated singer-songwriter, author and artist Kathryn Williams joins the gallery with her very first solo North East exhibition 'Striking Image'.

Her collection of portraits on matchboxes documents artists, writers and faces she’s met on tour, evocative of the opulent miniatures of the courts of Henry VIII and Francis I in the 1500s.
