Newcastle Thunder

This painting was created for a charity rugby event in Newcastle and will be featured on their warm up kit, it features landmarks of Newcastle/Northumberland and includes a stormy sky with lightning as a nod to the clubs name. It will be auctioned to raise funds for the Royal British Legion on the day of the charity match.

Painted by Sheila Biggins.
After being an amazing pencil artist in her early years, art fell to the wayside. Now, at the age of 80, Sheila decided to give art 'another go'.
This picture is close to her heart and the inspiration was the book, The Railway Children.
Sheila's main art style is the North East and memories of her childhood growing up in pit villages, which is represented in many areas of her work.
