🤖 Measure it. Code it. Make it move!

One of our schools took on a brilliant robotics challenge this week!

The children were tasked with designing and measuring their own route, working out the distances their robot needed to travel and then creating the programme to navigate it successfully.

It might look like great fun, but there is so much learning happening behind the scenes. Children are putting maths into practice, developing their coding and computational thinking skills, testing algorithms, solving problems and making adjustments when things do not quite go to plan.

And that is exactly what we love about robotics. 💡

Instead of simply learning about measurement, algorithms and programming, children get to see their learning come to life through a challenge they can build, test and improve themselves.

What an amazing summer of workshops it has been! 💙

We’ve welcomed so many wonderful new faces through our doors this summer, with children getting stuck into LEGO coding and robotics, Minecraft Education, building, designing, problem solving and bringing some seriously creative ideas to life!

And of course, a HUGE thank you to all of our regular Kids Hub children who keep coming back workshop after workshop. 🥰

Seeing familiar faces return, watching their confidence grow and seeing how much their coding, creativity and problem solving skills develop over time is incredibly rewarding. We appreciate every single one of you and the families who continue to support The Kids Hub. 💙

🎃🤖 WE’RE IN THE NEWS! 🤖🎃

We’re incredibly excited to see The Kids Hub featured in Business News North East following the announcement of our partnership with Family Fright Fest 2026!

This October, we’ll be bringing a completely new experience to Family Fright Fest with our Halloween LEGO Coding & Robotics sessions. 👻🧱💻

Children will get hands on designing, building and programming their own interactive LEGO creations using coding, motors, sensors and lights, while developing skills in:

🤖✨ WHAT A WEEK AT THE KIDS HUB HOLIDAY CLUB! ✨🎮

Last week was absolutely brilliant! We welcomed so many new faces alongside some of our familiar Kids Hub coders, and the energy was incredible from start to finish. 💙

From imaginative LEGO coding and robotics builds to designing, creating and problem solving in Minecraft Education, our young tech creators were busy bringing their ideas to life. We even managed to squeeze in a game of football after lunch.

What a brilliant week at The Kids Hub! 🤖💙

Our amazing children spent the week building, programming, problem solving, and bringing their ideas to life through LEGO Robotics and Minecraft Education. Every day was packed with creativity, teamwork, and exciting challenges, with so many smiles along the way.

It has also been so lovely to welcome so many new faces this week. Seeing new children grow in confidence, make friends, and discover a love of coding and technology has been wonderful.

A huge thank you to every child who joined us. You were all absolutely fantastic, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you achieved. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
