Eclipse Day 12 August 2026 - “Look behind you”

During the Eclipse it was all too easy to focus on the sun and the moon, but we got so close to the Greenland coast if you looked out there we were greeted with a fabulous coast line and icebergs around us.

The Lake Above the Ocean - - Faroe Islands

An Optical Illusion. The sheer drop of the cliffs trick the eye into perceiving the lake as being perched hundreds of metres above the sea.

A drive out from our first stop on the Solar Eclipse cruise with Wil Photography. Fantastic scenery on the drive there as well as when we arrived.

When you forget to look at your settings and it was set for capturing waterfalls. 😂

I’ve tried before and not got the hang of it. Looks like I need to give it another go! Quite like the effect with this flying over the sea north of Iceland on the Solar Eclipse cruise with Wil Photography

Off the coast of Greenland I got to experience my first with aboard Ambition.

An amazing experience with a fabulous group of guests.

Early Partial Eclipse - 28 August 2026

About 70 mins from the Partial Eclipse Maximum.

Having relocated from Huntington, this was one of the first images I captured.

Was slightly windy, so dropped my 3 Legged Thing Albert 2.0 down low and removed the lens hood.

Thanks to Wil Photography for battling down to Cambridge through the storms.

Blood Moon - Partial lunar eclipse, 28 August 2026.

After a solar eclipse and totality, it would be rude not to capture the lunar eclipse as well! 😜

Special thanks to Wil Photography for battling through the torrential rain and storms (twice due to diversions on the A1) while working our way down from Newcastle to find clear skies.

From start to finish, the eclipse was amazing! A great day with whales, icebergs, the coast of Greenland then capped with clear skies and my first experience of a totality.
