I got to paint some real life Disney princesses 🩵🥰💜!!!

Princess Rapunzel and Princess Jasmine sat so still and were so sweet whilst I painted their faces. They both looked beautiful and the kids loved seeing their favourite princesses joining in with the party fun.

Just a quick post about photo content…

I ALWAYS ask for consent for any photos I take, both from the grown up with the child AND (crucially) the child themselves. I always explain that photos will be posted online and on social media.

But!!!… I’ve had a lot of grown ups recently apologising for not allowing photos, particularly if I’ve done a unique request of the child’s.

I want you to know that I am not entitled to your child’s face … EVER!! No matter the art work I provide. If you pay for the paint or the session is pre paid then you pay for the experience.
Whilst I do occasionally ask if photos are allowed so I can post on my socials, I do completely understand if people don’t want to agree to photos. That doesn’t EVER make you any less entitled to my work.

Yes it’s nice for me to showcase my work, yes many children (and caregivers) are very happy for my work to be shared. But with the ever changing scope of the internet I fully back every individual decision and right to privacy.
So please, don’t apologise. Don’t hold back on those requests for unique designs. If a child has a unique request and I have the time to indulge then please remember that you or the child do not owe me a photo.

Yes I will probably ask. But I will always respect a no. I don’t require an apology or an explanation. Ever!!
