✨ It started with a training space…

Elena Joy Miller and Pagan Hunt first met through training with Bamboozle Theatre Company , brought together by a shared curiosity about how theatre can be more accessible for young children — especially those with additional needs.

Coming from different creative backgrounds — Elena from Star Bright Arts and Pagan from Pelican Theatre — they quickly realised they had something in common: a desire to create spaces where children could explore creativity freely, without pressure, and in ways that truly respond to them.

From that starting point, this project began to take shape.

Together, they’ve been exploring simple ideas — rolling, bouncing, stretching, spinning — and discovering just how powerful these moments of movement and play can be. Not just as activities, but as ways for children to connect, express themselves and feel part of something.

What’s grown is more than a project. It’s an ongoing commitment to creating inclusive spaces and places where every child can experience creativity in their own way.

And this is just the beginning. ✨

Join us for a fun-filled week celebrating all things spring next week!

📅 Our spring theme is running Tues 7th – Sat 11th April (we're closed on Bank Holiday Monday).
🎨 We have a Spring themed Crafternoon on Tuesday the 7th 1pm - 5pm, bookable on our website in Upcoming Events.
📚 Star Bright Arts are coming to do their Easter themed story time parties on Thursday the 9th at 10am and 11.30am. Bookable on our website in Upcoming Events.
🐣We're still running Cookery Club at 3.30pm on Thursday the 9th, this is bookable in After School Clubs on our website.
🌼On Friday the 10th it's our Spring Party 2pm - 4pm which includes a party tea, again, this is bookable on our website in Upcoming Events.

Our Spring-themed session is packed with music, movement, and sensory props to help bring the story to life for little ones in a playful and engaging way. It’s a lovely inclusive experience for families to explore stories together.

✨ What to Expect from Our Sensory Storytelling Sessions ✨

At Star Bright Arts, our sensory storytelling sessions are designed to bring stories to life through music, movement, Makaton and engaging sensory props. These interactive elements help children and young people experience stories in a fun, inclusive and meaningful way, supporting communication, imagination and engagement for all abilities.

Story Party Sessions are led by Elena Joy Miller — a storyteller, performer, clown, musician and Level 3 trained Makaton facilitator with over 20 years of experience working with children and young people of all ages and abilities. Elena creates a warm, welcoming and playful environment where every participant can feel confident to explore and express themselves.

⭐⭐⭐BAMBOOZLE THEATRE MASTERCLASS ⭐⭐⭐

Sharing this wonderful opportunity to learn more about the work of Bamboozle Theatre Company.

Elena was part of their artist training programme in 2024 and gained invaluable insights into creating playful, meaningful and accessible work designed with learning disabled children at its heart. The experience deeply shaped her approach to making inclusive theatre, and this upcoming masterclass is a brilliant chance to explore Bamboozle’s methods, values and creative processes first-hand.

She is currenty putting this training into practice in her co-production of Flip the Switch.
