We really enjoyed playing for Kathryn & Gavin’s wedding ceilidh at Marvel Hall.

We had a brilliant time playing for Natalie & Cameron’s wedding ceilidh at Ellingham Hall at the end of August.

Everyone was so enthusiastic and up for a laugh which makes our job so much easier, so thanks for that 😂

You wait all your life for a fabulous deputy pianist and then two come along at once 😂

A big thanks to Alan Brown for standing in more than a few times this year and a massive round of applause to Mark Batey who made his debut with us Saturday night at Ellingham Hall for a wedding ceilidh and played brilliantly.

Mark is the one in the funky shirt in the other photo and Alan isn’t in the other but Alan’s playing is funky so that makes up for the shirt 😂

The place Appletreewick paints a certain picture and my oh my it looks exactly like it sounds.

Asiya and Arvind asked us to play for their wedding evening celebrations in the beautiful Craven Arms Cruck Barn, near Skipton - Craven Arms & the Surrounding Areas - Community Page.

What an amazing evening!!

It's 1913, and in a small village in North Northumberland, a stones throw from the Scottish border, the final lick of paint is drying on the brand new village hall in preparation for opening night.....

What better way to celebrate the new hall than with a dance? A ceilidh which, as is traditional in these parts, began with a Circassian Circle.

In many ways the world has changed out of all recognition in the intervening years, but some things stay the same... So here we are, kicking off proceedings in Crookham Village Hall with the very same Circassian Circle 113 years later!!

One thing that has changed though is finish time.. 4am?!?! They had some serious stamina back then!!

It was an absolute delight to play for Christine's 60th birthday party and to be part of another family celebration with her son Cameron and daughter-in-law Ella, whose wedding we played for a couple of years ago. We look forward to the next big family party to do it all again! 🎂

What a whirlwind of a day.

We started in New Herrington for a wedding party for Ann and David, Publicans of The Stables, then straight down the A1 to Bedale for a wedding reception at Crakehall Village Hall for Rachel and Reuben.

Thanks to our lovely couples and our two photo bombers 😂
