For the last 6 months, our Office Manager, Emma Bell, has been supporting the programming team at The Fire Station in Sunderland with admin support.

The Fire Station is a mid-scale performance venue in the heart of Sunderland, welcoming 100,000 visitors each year specialising in live music and theatre.

Amongst other tasks, Emma has been assisting with contract administration, managing event planning systems, HR administration, and managing general enquiries.

We’re hopping off for the long weekend so the team can rest and eat unreasonable amounts of chocolate (no regrets 🍫) and will be back on Tuesday 7th April.

Last week we spent a lovely Friday afternoon at ARC Stockton as part of their Producer Development Programme. It was great to be in a room with producers at all different stages, all there to connect, share experiences, and figure out how to keep doing what we do without burning out!

We delivered a keynote on Tiny Dragon’s journey so far, the projects we’ve been lucky to work on, and why building something sustainable (for both the people and the business) really matters. We then joined a panel discussion with the brilliant Lisa Mallaghan and Luke Dankoff, which led to some refreshingly honest chats around self-care, career paths and what it’s like producing in the North East.

Producing is still one of those roles that’s a bit invisible and not always easy to explain. Juggling many things at once - creative ideas, logistics, people, budgets – is a creative practice in itself and deserves celebrating.

Busy day for Team TDP today with two brilliant events in Newcastle!

Bonded Agency hosted another great festival event focusing on 'Future Trends In Advertising for 2026 and Beyond'. Loads of interesting talks from the staff at Bonded plus guest speakers from Microsoft, ITV, Sky Media UK, Meta, Channel 4, Audioexpert.

Then ImmexCity and Sunderland Software City held the 'North East Immersive Technology Showcase' at Gateshead College with Gateshead Council - wonderful to see what's being developed in the region.

We’re delighted to be working with Seeta Patel Dance scoping an international tour of the Olivier Award–nominated The Rite of Spring . This bold reimagining of Stravinsky’s iconic ballet is performed in the South Indian classical form of Bharatanatyam—which is rarely seen as an ensemble piece:

There are flexible versions of the show to suit a range of venues, including mid and large-scale indoor productions, as well as an outdoor site-specific version.
