What a fabulous evening, in the company of a wonderful audience, and the brilliant University Hospital Orchestra at Stoke Minster! It is with such pride that I stand in front of these amazing Rockies, particularly in such beautiful venues and with new audiences.

Yesterday was our first "play from scratch"day! We spent the day rehearsing Holst's Jupiter and a medley of music from Harry Potter, ending the day with a short concert to show what we had achieved. The day was filled with music, fun, pizza and cake and I think we would all agree it was a success! We were delighted to be joined by people from other groups both local and further away as well as some previous members who haven't played for a while and enjoyed getting back into playing.
We hope this is something we will be able to do again so follow our page for details of the next play day event!

We are hosting a play from scratch day on Saturday 10th January where we will spend the day rehearsing 2 new pieces, Harry Potter and Jupiter from the Planet Suite. Everyone is welcome, so dust off your instruments and come and join us!
