Reeltime’s experienced tutors deliver a unique blend of fun, youth work, multimedia and music instruction to those who are “hardest to engage with” in conjunction with its extensive network of local partners including Community Learning and Development, North Lanarkshire Education Department, Access and many others. In conjunction with partners such as Access and Action for Children, Reeltime designs and delivers tailored projects to suit the outcomes of various local agencies. Volunteering Opportunities
Reeltime Music offers local people the chance to gain valuable experience in the music industry by volunteering in the recording and rehearsal studio, helping out at live events and media projects. Music Youth Groups
The Young Sound are music youth groups that meet weekly to get local young people involved in creative activities that involve working in a group setting.

Creative Ready is a free music-based employability programme for young people aged 16–24 in North Lanarkshire.

Over 20 sessions you'll have the chance to:

Another amazing week for our volunteer team! We are celebrating the excellent Jakub Marek, who has won himself the highest award in the Scottish Saltire Awards Programme by giving 500 volunteer hours to Reeltime Music.

Jakub has been a part of Reeltime as a young person and volunteer since primary school, and is now studying music full time between gigs with his band, Nova Scotia.

Jakub’s generosity of time, energy and skill has seen many a young person learn from him and his example. Congratulations, and here’s to many more!

Tonight, we celebrate a huge milestone for our longest-serving volunteer, Chloe Smyth.

Chloe started as a work experience pupil from Brannock High in 2023. Since then, she has served in over 180 workshops and events, meaning she has now given Reeltime Music 700 hours of her time.

Outside of the workshops, Chloe has raised money for Reeltime by putting on a charity night back in March, raising £390 from her gig in Record Factory. She was also part of the team who went out on April 26th to complete the Glasgow Kiltwalk in aid of the charity.

This is a massive achievement, and just one example of the many amazing volunteers Reeltime is lucky to have. Chloe’s citizenship is legendary in the area, and we are proud to have her as an ambassador and community music practitioner.

Congrats Chloe, you Reeltime legend!
