Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra, Lincoln Cathedral June 2013 - 10 years ago. I actually founded the orchestra back in 2003 so it’s now 23 years old but I don’t have any photos going back that far. However as 2028 will represent the 25th anniversary of the LCO it would be great if I could find a way to celebrate this special occasion with a purely orchestral concert, but first I need a sponsor - suggestions welcome…🤔

YouTube video of extracts from a really superb performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah in Lincoln Cathedral on Saturday. Thank you to the wonderful instrumentalists of the Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra, the Lincoln Choral Society, Bingham & District Choral Society and Scunthorpe & District Choral Society (over 250 voices) and especially Stephen Bullamore (Conductor) for all the hard work that resulted in this memorable concert.

My ‘professional’ horn playing days are now a distant memory, so as founder and orchestral manager I never book myself to actually play with the Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra (!), however, Christmas Day and Easter Sunday in Lincoln Cathedral are the exception to the rule, so here on 1st horn let me introduce the final hymn with Sally on 2nd horn joining me in the 3rd bar. Sadly the cathedral doesn’t offer the greatest sound quality with their social media streaming service, however it’s nice to have this one recording of Sally and I playing together for the Easter Sunday service today with my very much reduced orchestra of just 11 players on this particular occasion…
