Expect heavier than normal traffic and potential delays on the A616 due to flooding resulting in the closure of the A617

The A617 is closed between Cattle Market Island and Kelham due to flooding.

This is having a knock on effect on other roads in the area and around Newark, especially the A616.

A diversion is in place via the A616, where traffic is already looking very heavy.

Check your routes before you leave and consider whether your travel is necessary.

FLOOD WATER - Please do not attempt to drive through flood water. Please do not ignore flood warning and road closed signs.

Jonathan Genevaux informed us over the weekend that he will no longer be able to deliver his talk on Waterscapes next week. The Programme Secretary has been working to find a replacement since being informed.

Richard Houghton has today advised that he is too ill to judge Photographer of the Year (POY) Heat 3 this evening.

We are moving the POY Heat 3 to next week (8th December) and will fill this evening (1st December) with 'Hugh and I' by Leigh Preston (featuring images by Hugh Milsom and Leigh Preston) from the PAGB's Recorded Lecture Service.
