Dry Doddington Village Hall is charity run by committee members - Peter Stenton-Guest, Chair; Lynne Stenton-Guest; Rachel Pygott; Rob Pygott; Dan Smith; Rebecca Lett. Dry Doddinton is a beautiful, quaint village, steeped in history, the village hall is part of ‘The Triangle’ with the other two vertices being:

The Wheatsheaf Inn (www.thewheatsheafinndrydoddington.com), with real ales a good selec

tion of wines and spirits, pub food classics, lovely log fire, beer garden and children's play area, plus they’re dog friendly! St James Church - a beautiful and very interesting church, it actually leans more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy - 3.97 degrees vs 5.1 degrees!! It is a Grade II listed building dating from the 12th century, with an early 14th-century tower and is very quaint and loved by the village. The committee are 100% focused on repairing and ensuring the hall is safe and comfortable. We also thank everyone that supports the hall and has played a part in making it what it is, an important community hub of Dry Doddington.

What’s on at the Village Hall?

We have got some fantastic events at the Village Hall over the next few months.
Please support our events, volunteers put in lots of hard work to make them happen for our community.

DD’s Community Cafe last Thursday of every month 10-12.
Unlimited hot drink and a slice of cake or sausage roll, £2.

Saturday 19th September 2:30-4:30 St James Church “Repair the floor to open the door” celebration and presentation for church repairs and a chance to see the old fire pit before it disappears.

Saturday 10th October 7pm - late, Ann’s Vinyl Quiz Night £5 pp.

Friday 16th October 7pm, St James, Dry Doddington Harvest Supper £10 pp.

Friday 20th November, “Wines for Christmas” selection of six wines, cheese and biscuits, quiz and raffle. £14pp.

Saturday 28th November, from 10am. St James’ Christmas Fair. Free entry.

Saturday 5th December 12pm - 2pm, Christmas Afternoon Tea, £8pp.

Sunday 20th December, 5pm. Christmas Carols on the Green, followed by drinks and seasonal nibbles in the Village Hall. Free entry donations welcome.

Friday 25th December (Christmas Day), open house to wish everyone a happy Christmas. Times to be announced later.
