If you are passing Gallery 6 on Stodman Street in Newark on Trent you will see these new sculptures by Angela Sidwell, along with some of Angela’s other amazing work in the window. Unfortunately due to illness the gallery is closed today but I am still available on 07375 101416 if you wish me to reserve anything you see in the window when passing or have seen during a visit. I hope to be open again on Tuesday 8 September but if you will be making a special journey to the gallery please don’t hesitate to call me to make sure I am there. I apologise for any inconvenience. A treasured heavy duck canvas wrap tool bag with its leather straps, darkened by hands that have gripped them over the decades, sits quietly amongst the wooden handled chisels, wood shavings and brass fittings of a combination square. A stunning original oil painting, captured in Gallery 6 resting in the suns autumn rays. This traditional ‘old master’ style painting is by still life artist Susan pollard Gillespie.

Although the gallery will be closed today, Thursday 3 September, I will be available on 07375 101416 if you wish me to reserve anything you have seen in the window when passing or have seen during a visit. If you are visiting the many events happening in Newark on Trent this Bank Holiday Weekend please call in and say hello. Gallery 6 is located on by Stodman Street NG24 1AN and this is just one of several stunning wire sculptures from Linda Hoyle.
Gallery 6 has extraordinary paintings , ceramics, sculptures, glass designs and abstract photography from incredibly talented artists. Not one visitor leaves without telling me what an amazing gallery we have. We are well worth a visit and I can promise you that you will not be disappointed.

Preparations are well under way for our next workshop in the secret garden behind Gallery 6 with artist Jane Hindmarch. This is Jane’s second workshop which, once again, is fully booked and coincides with an earlier exhibition of Jane’s at Gallery 6 ‘In Arcadia Ego’ which we still have on display in one of our first floor galleries.

I am hoping the weather will be kind for artist Jane Hindmarch this Friday 28 August when she will be holding her second workshop in the Secret Garden behind Gallery 6.
