Getting the bandstand at Oaklands Park all ready for the celebration picnic and viewing the beautiful bricks and fabulous mosaics. Come and join us on the 13 September, find your brick, enjoy some music and celebrate. It was hard work cleaning , painting and repairing bug ax you can see - the results speak for themselves!

Our brand new Thursday evening glass class is your chance to explore all things glass — from stained glass, copper foiling and leading to glass appliqué, glass painting and more.

There’s no set project to follow. You choose what you want to make, work at your own pace, and learn the techniques you need as you go, with expert tutors on hand to help bring your ideas to life.

From something simple to something completely ambitious, you really can create just about anything.

And it’s not only about the making — it’s two hours each week to switch off, have a chat, meet like-minded people and enjoy being creative.

Join us for a free one-hour heritage workshop, using wool supplied by Romney Marsh Wools to create your own wool sheep to take home — then help decorate one of the larger sheep being created for the Romney Flock & Tide Tales Path project.

🐑 AND HERE'S WHERE IT GETS REALLY SPECIAL...

The Romney Flock will feature eight individually designed sheep, each created especially for its final location and together forming a new trail across Romney Marsh.

These Heritage Days offer a rare chance to become part of their creation. You'll help decorate one of the eight Romney Flock sheep, get a sneak peek at that sheep before it heads to its final location — and be able to say you helped create it!

🎉 IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE THE TIDE TALES PATH!

More than 500 individually created mosaic bricks have been brought together to create a permanent community artwork in Hythe — and that deserves a celebration!

Join us at Oakland Park Bandstand for a relaxed community get-together with live music and a picnic in the park, celebrating the incredible community effort behind the Tide Tales Path.

Whether you've been part of the project along the way or are discovering it for the first time, everyone is welcome.

Bring your friends, family and a picnic, find a spot on the grass and enjoy the music!
