Today, two hundred years ago, a foundation stone was laid against the restless edge of the sea and from it rose something far greater than walls and mortar.
Fort Perch Rock has stood through storms and silence, through war and wonder. It has watched ships come and go, held its ground against the tide and carried the quiet strength of generations within its walls. It is not just a fort... it is a symbol. Of courage. Of endurance. Of England itself.
There is something about this place that settles in the soul. A quiet resilience. A steadfast presence. It inspires without speaking, reminds us to stand firm, to weather what comes and to find warmth even in the harshest winds.
To call this place our home is not something we take lightly... it is a privilege beyond measure.
Within these historic walls at Fort Perch Rock, The Mess, Fort Perch Rock and Escape The Fort have found life, laughter and stories of their own. We are only the latest chapter in a long and remarkable history...
Today, we stand proud.
Proud of the fort.
Proud of its past.
Proud to be part of its future.

Finally, we would like to offer a deeply personal thank you to the Darroch family, in particular John and Doug.
Your unwavering support from day one has meant more than words can ever truly express. But beyond that, it is your quiet dedication, your fierce protection and your steadfast defence of the fort that has safeguarded this remarkable place for generations.
Because of you, these walls still stand.
Because of you, its story continues.
Long may you continue.
