We have the lovely Jan Constable with us today with her santa bag of Christmas Crafts for your little ones. If you are in the park or on the prom today, pop in to MAZ for some Christmas family crafting.
I was just about to do a video and then get my lunch when my little friendly Christmas Robin came to visit me again, he's now back in the park x

There are 17 Wallasey Art Society artists exhibiting two artworks in their 59th Annual Exhibition here in Mersey Arts Zone. We're open 10-5pm over the weekend, call in for your unique locally created Christmas gifts.

That was one busy week, an exhibition come down, a big exhibition went up by Wallasey Arts Society and jewellers/makers/artists were in with new work and for a chat about the new year. I've only just got home from work, tomorrow I'll update you all on our Christmas gifts and artwork x

I finally sat down after a long day in MAZ. This morning was the opening of Wallasey Arts Society 59th Annual Exhibition. It was hung last night and I was asked to judge the winners. We had a prize giving day and the Christmas lights switch on in the park. The artists had a social get together, then it was opened to the public. Call in tomorrow 10-5pm x

We've enjoyed having The Mosslands School exhibition here in MAZ this month. The exhibition is finishing on Friday, so not long now to come and see the young person's artwork.

I've met some lovely people today. I'm here to 5pm if you want to call in. The Mosslands School exhibition had gone well, lots of young people encouraged to carry on doing art. All artwork will be changed over on Saturday, as we have the Wallasey Arts Society exhibition.
We've been busy in MAZ, reflecting on the last 18 months, attending creative workshops, business meetings, prepping for a joint funding bid in Vale House which the bidder didn't get granted. I've been trying to map out how the creative sector in Wirral will look next year in this economic climate. I am passionate about supporting creatives but I also need the community to support MAZ, as everything done by MAZ is funded by MAZ. In January I will be looking for external funding to support MAZ in the future x

The 'Drawn to Abstraction' course with Martin Regan is going well. I just left the class getting ready to paint and print, it looked good fun. Martin's next course starts on the 24th November, message me to book or pop in to Mersey Arts Zone.
Great start to the week, the Monday Vale House lunch club were in, Wallasey Arts Society enjoyed their portrait class on Wednesday. Today Zona Floral Design did their workshop. MAZ Gallery was open for everyone to see The Mosslands School artwork.

We have amazing local artwork in the gallery. If you have been thinking of buying something, now is the time to support the artist and MAZ. We are having a full change over for Wallasey Arts Society's exhibition in December. Mosslands School exhibition will be with us all this month.
The gallery is looking great and so is Vale Park. Vale House where we are is in the park just off New Brighton prom. We have a lovely cafe next door to get a hot drink and food The Coffee Roast at Vale House and lots to do in the park when you visit us.
We've had a great first day for The Mosslands School Year 8 Exhibition 'Still Life'. Call in tomorrow 10-5pm to see their amazing artwork. Big plans for the new year going well for our Wirral young artists x
We would like to thank Nick Beedles for choosing Mersey Art Zone for his first solo exhibition. 'Trash Baby' was well visited and sales were great. We have a few prints left and three original works. Nick has kindly left them with us for those who were interested x

Flower Design started a four week workshop today looking at Autumn colour and foliage. Today firework flowers were created. There is a couple of spaces available due to cancellation. Nick Beedles exhibition has done well, the first time we have displayed his work. Friday is the last day to see the collection together. All buyers need to collect their artwork tomorrow. There is a few pieces that are available to buy x

We've had a busy week! Nick Beedles exhibition, Halloween crafts for the kids, Zona Flower workshop, Martin Regans's students had a week off. Wallasey Arts Society had life class, there was Vales lunch club. Lots of artists in and out, a few celebs dropped in and all our lovely visitors.

It's been a good week. New Brighton Pride exhibition ended and we returned the 'Rainbow Tree' painting to the Birch Centre. We opened Nick Beedle's exhibition 'Trash Baby' which went well. Then started the 'Abstraction' evening course, as well as the 'Zona Flower Design' day workshops. Pop in over the weekend 10-5pm, new artists and artwork in.

We've had a lovely sunny day, John and Tom Hyatt who are amazing artists popped in. Two families who went to New Brighton Pride and put their finger print on the 'Rainbow Tree' called in and were happy to see their print again on the painting x
Last week I had a great break in Whitby and was back to open for the weekend. On Saturday we opened 'Pride Exhibition' with our local artists and the 'Rainbow Tree' community painting from The Birch Centre. Headzic a local musician was here on Saturday creating his beautiful ambient sounds to go with the exhibition.
