We did it! Shady Grove is ours! 🌳
After a long old process (seriously - nearly two years in the making!), we're so proud to announce that One Step Counselling and Therapies C.I.C. has acquired its very own community woodland in Cimla, Neath - Shady Grove.
This will be a space for the whole community: a community garden, forest school, bushcraft, green spaces and engagement sessions. And it's coming along in spring 2026!
We're keeping this project as eco-friendly as it gets - minimal disturbance to wildlife, working with hand tools wherever possible, and partnering with local organisations and veterans to build small eco buildings on site, we can’t wait to work with Veterans REORG at the Hub from Vernon Place Community Hub again. Also keep an eye out for a special launch party in partnership with The Unlimited Pathway CIC! Local partnerships are at the heart of everything we do.
*We're looking for volunteers!* If you'd like to get hands-on with a community woodland from the very beginning, we'd love to hear from you. Message us or email [email protected].
None of this would have been possible without the support of The National Lottery Community Fund - thank you to every National Lottery player. 💚

*Maen ni wedi'i wneud! Mae Shady Grove yn eiddo i ni!* 🌳
Ar ôl proses hir iawn (o ddifri - bron i ddwy flynedd o waith!), rydyn ni'n falch iawn i gyhoeddi bod One Step Counselling and Therapies C.I.C. wedi prynu ein coedwig gymunedol ein hunain yng Nghimla, Neath - Shady Grove.
Bydd hyn yn lle i'r gymuned gyfan: ardd gymunedol, ysgol goedwig, bushcraft, mannau gwyrdd a sesiynau ymgysylltu. Ac mae'n dod yn y gwanwyn 2026!
Rydyn ni'n cadw'r prosiect hwn mor eco-gyfeillgar â phosibl - tarfu cyn lleied â phosibl ar fywyd gwyllt, gweithio gydag offer llaw lle bo hynny'n bosibl, a chydweithio â sefydliadau lleol a chyn-filwyr i adeiladu adeiladau eco bach ar y safle. Ni allwn ddisgwyl i weithio gyda Veterans REORG yn y Hub o Vernon Place Community Hub eto. Cadwch lygad allan hefyd am barti lansio arbennig mewn partneriaeth â The Unlimited Pathway CIC! Mae partneriaethau lleol yng nghalon popeth rydyn ni'n ei wneud.
*Rydyn ni'n chwilio am wirfoddolwyr!* Os hoffech chi fynd yn sownd â choedwig gymunedol o'r cychwyn cyntaf, hoffem glywed gennych chi. Anfonwch neges i ni neu ebostiwch [email protected].
Doedd dim o hyn yn bosibl heb gefnogaeth Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol - diolch i bob chwaraewr Lotto. 💚
