Megafobia was a CCI Wooden , designed by John Wardley, Dennis McNulty, and Larry Bill in 1996. πŸ—οΈ

Today Megafobia is 30 years old, even though it's standing but not operating, hopefully it still has a future πŸ™

We're making progress in restoring Oakwood Theme Park back to how it was in real life, and reuniting the community, but all online! 🎒

Our team is working extremely hard to fully recreate the entire park, and have it back up and running in the near future. We will be releasing the online game with one section of the park open, and in future updates expanding it to the full sized park, so we can get the game out as soon as possible!, We will be running the game at specific shifts times, with real staff to conserve the nostalgic feeling of πŸ‘

The park's closure has had a significant impact on us as locals and to the community, which is exactly why as a team of developers, we're working extremely hard to bring it back ourselves. ✨

What makes everything worse as well is that there's speculation going around that the current operator of Oakwood Theme Park has done this all on purpose, to take all the assets and use it for their other parks. πŸ’”

The current operator of the park unfortunately led Oakwood to sink into the ground in 2025, thanks to their lack of investment and care for the site, while blaming it on guest numbers and financial issues and not taking accountability for their actions and decisions. Realistically, the closure of Oakwood couldn't have been due to rising costs, especially since they are spending all of this money to take down the rides, transport it to other countries, and to reuse them in their other parks, that must cost millions, which could have kept Oakwood operating for a number of years!

It's a real shame how it all came to an end, we can't change the past, but hopefully something will happen to the site in the future once the current operator has taken everything they want from the land. For now, we're remaking it online ourselves so we can revive the magic and create memories for many generations to come! πŸŽ‰
